Launch Driver Service to Club Moorings

The Club operates a dedicated Launch Driver Service providing safe and convenient access between the Haven and all Club swinging moorings. This service supports members and visitors in reaching their vessels efficiently, without the need for a tender.

Service Availability

The Launch Driver Service operates throughout the main boating season:

• Operating period: 1 April to 30 September

• Days: Weekdays and weekends

• Hours: 08:00 to dusk

• Service type: On request, subject to availability and agreement with the launch driver

Please note that during busy periods or adverse weather conditions, some delays may occur.

How to Request the Launch

To arrange transport to or from your mooring, please contact the launch driver:

  Channel 37 or 80
  Call sign: PIKE (followed by the name of your vessel)

For immediate assistance, VHF or phone contact is recommended.

Journey Information

• Approximate journey time: 10 minutes

• Route: Haven to your allocated mooring

The launch driver will take you directly to your vessel and can also be contacted for return journeys to shore.

Service Guidance

To ensure a smooth and efficient service:

• Clearly state your boat name and mooring location when requesting the launch

• Be ready at the agreed pick-up point and time

• Allow additional time during peak periods

• Follow all safety instructions provided by the launch driver
