Haven Berth Regulations

These notes support safe, considerate, and efficient use of the Haven and pontoons. All berth holders and visitors are expected to follow these guidelines at all times.

Haven Navigation

  • Speed Limit: Strictly 3 knots
  • Maintain lookout for small craft, paddle craft and dinghies
  • Keep right and pass port-to-port
  • Give priority to sailing vessels and manoeuvring boats
  • Use engine propulsion (no drifting)
  • Avoid movement during group dinghy launches
  • Signal intentions early and manoeuvre predictably

Berthing & Mooring

Minimum 4 Mooring Lines:

  • Two forward lines
  • One aft / side line
  • One spring line

Support: Yard staff available

Training: [email protected]

Fenders: Required on both sides

Restriction: Do not fix fittings into the pontoon

Services & Safety

Electricity & Water

  • Top-ups at Office, Haven Office and Yard
  • Transfer credit back to card before leaving
  • Drain hoses safely:
    • Close pontoon tap
    • Open user-end tap

General Safety

  • Pontoons may be slippery; proceed with care
  • Locate nearest rescue ladders (clearly marked)
  • RIBs should berth with engine facing the pontoon where possible
