Dinghy

The Poole Yacht Club offers excellent facilities for members who own dinghies, supporting both recreational sailing and competitive fleets.

Dinghy Park

The Club provides approximately 250 spaces within the dinghy park, with a range of storage options to suit different types of craft:

Two-tier racks for smaller boats such as Lasers and Toppers
Allocated hard-standing spaces for larger dinghies

Spaces are generally available from 1 April to 30 September, with extensions available for members taking part in the winter racing series.

Dinghy Spaces

Applications for dinghy spaces open in January each year, and members will can apply accordingly via website.

Priority is given to recognised fleet classes; however, every effort is made to accommodate all members. If you join the Club or acquire a boat during the year, please contact the office to check current availability.

Kayaks, Windsurfers and Similar Craft

Storage racks are available for kayaks, windsurfers, SUPs, and similar craft. Applications follow the same process as dinghy spaces.

For security, members are strongly advised to lock their equipment where possible.

Slipway and Beach

All members may use the beach and slipway free of charge to launch sailing dinghies, kayaks, SUPs, and windsurfers.

Please note:

The slipway should only be used if you can safely navigate the Haven without obstructing other vessels
Windsurfing within the Haven is discouraged due to wind shadow conditions
Launching motorised craft is subject to fees
Craft with engines over 4hp must pay harbour dues via the office
Trailers may be left during the day if they do not obstruct others, but overnight storage is not permitted
